The Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid is the first plug-in hybrid car in the Japanese manufacturer's lineup that combines the off-road capabilities of a compact crossover with eco-friendly drive and pure electric driving.
The all-wheel drive transmission of the Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid is based on 3 engines: a 2-liter Boxer petrol engine with 4 cylinders and 2 electric motors, the power of which is transmitted to drive through an automatic CVT transmission.
The peculiarity of the power plant is that one of the electric motors is connected to the internal combustion engine and acts as an energy generator for charging the battery and the starter motor.
The forces of the second motor are transmitted to the drive of the car plus it is responsible for energy recovery.
The total power of the transmission is 148 hp, and the dynamics of acceleration to 100 km / h is 9.2 seconds.
The Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid is equipped with an 8.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, which provides the crossover with 27 km of pure electric range or 772 km of range in hybrid mode.
The plug-in battery can be charged from a 240 V AC power supply in 2 hours.
