In 1998, the concern launched the Citroen Berlingo Electric with an electric motor with a range of 95 km. Car was widely used by the French post.


In 2012, the company introduced the updated second-generation Citroen Berlingo Electric. Just a year later, sales of the model to a wide consumer began.


In 2009, the world saw the Citroen Revolt concept with a hybrid drive, and in 2010 the company introduced the Citroen Survolt sports car, which is fully powered by electricity.


The sports car has a speed of 260 km / h and is able to overcome 200 km on a single battery charge.


Two years after the presentation of the electric sports car, the concern introduced the economical hybrid Citroen DS5 HYbrid4 with fuel consumption of up to 3.8l / 100km.


In 2014, the company pleased its fans with a new crossover - the Quartz hybrid at an exhibition in Paris. Peugeot 208 and Citroen C4 Cactus hatchbacks capable of moving in compressed air were also shown there. The developers of the company claim that the fuel consumption of a car equipped with an air driven unit will reduce fuel consumption to 2l / 100km.
